Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
