British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday night. The athlete was involved in a car accident near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to continue his recovery at home.

“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the passing of his two trusted companions.”
