An American-Palestinian teenager who spent nine months in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest last February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing from his Florida home under suspicion of rock throwing at Jewish settlers, which he previously denied.

United States authorities applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, according to close relatives.

Family described him as pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".

Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.

"Currently, our priority is providing Mohammed with urgent medical care necessary for his recovery after experiencing harsh conditions and inhumane conditions throughout his detention."

The state department said it would continue to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," officials stated.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to the state department and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

Mohammed's parent, with four children operating an ice cream shop based in Tampa, previously said his son only confessed about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

The father hadn't visited nor direct contact since February, and only heard regarding the treatment in detention through court documents.

The teenager remained lacking indictment at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.

It is also home to grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted of serious terrorism offences and murder.

There are around 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, including UN bodies, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.

This young American-Palestinian according to health authorities died from beating by settlement residents following tensions during summer.

Initially, the Israeli military said authorities were looking into reports a Palestinian civilian had died.

Both young men had worked together in the family ice cream shop based in Florida.

No indictments occurred regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We anticipate US authorities to ensure our family's safety," Mr Kadur said.
