The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions involving young women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books in total, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
